At a glance
For still wine, decide whether you want needle access or a stopper fitted after opening. Sparkling wine needs its dedicated system. This is a specification comparison, not a hands-on test of four UK kits.
UK system prices checked on 20 October 2026
| System | Displayed price | Method and buying question |
|---|---|---|
| Pivot+ | £199.99 | Stopper and argon. Does an opened-bottle system suit your needs? |
| Timeless Three+ | £289.99 | Needle and argon. Is the closure compatible and are the included accessories sufficient? |
| Timeless Six+ | £399.99 | Needle and argon. Will you use the extra accessories and prefer its finish? |
| Sparkling | £399.99 | Dedicated stopper and CO₂. For sparkling wine, not a replacement for a still-wine system. |

Three+ or Six+: what does the extra £110 buy?
At the checked displayed prices, the Six+ costs £110 more than the Three+. Both use the Timeless needle-and-argon approach for still wine. The difference is not evidence of a longer guaranteed preservation period.
| Item | Three+ | Six+ |
|---|---|---|
| Argon capsules | 2 | 3 |
| Timeless screw-cap accessories | 2 | 6 |
| Aerator | Included | Included |
| Carry case | Not listed in this kit | Included |
| Bottle sleeve | Included | Included |
Match the kit to your actual use. An included accessory has little value to you if it is not needed. An older French bundle or a retailer’s differently named package should not be assumed to contain the same items.
Where Pivot+ fits
Pivot+ uses a stopper after the original closure is removed. It is a different approach to the Timeless needle system and is intended for still wine. The UK comparison page lists two argon capsules, two Pivot stoppers, an aerator and a bottle sleeve in the kit.
Coravin currently advertises up to four weeks for Pivot+. This is a manufacturer claim under its conditions, not a Vinabox test result or a universal shelf life. If a simple closure and the fridge are enough for you, a more expensive system is not automatically necessary.
Sparkling is a separate choice
Sparkling uses CO₂ and its own stopper and charging equipment. The manufacturer comparison lists two CO₂ capsules, a charger, one stopper and a bottle sleeve. Do not substitute a Timeless or Pivot arrangement for equipment designed for pressurised sparkling bottles.
Coravin advertises at least four weeks for its current Sparkling system. That statement is attributed to the manufacturer and depends on correct use and conditions. It is not an independent guarantee for Champagne or an English sparkling bottle.
Closures, safety and running costs
For Timeless, check the precise closure compatibility and the required screw-cap accessory. Do not treat glass, synthetic and natural-cork closures as interchangeable. Read the instructions for the exact system and capsule rather than improvising with another gas or attachment.
None of the system prices above is an all-in lifetime cost. Budget for the correct gas capsules and any stoppers or replacement parts you need. We have not verified a UK per-glass running cost, and a manufacturer capsule-yield claim would need stated pour-size assumptions before being used in a calculation.
A decision based on your bottles
- Choose a Timeless option only if its compatible still-wine access method meets a real need.
- Between Three+ and Six+, assess the extras and finish at the current kit prices.
- Consider Pivot+ if a stopper-based still-wine approach suits your pattern of use.
- Treat Sparkling as a distinct purchase for sparkling wine, with its own safety and gas requirements.

Questions readers ask
Has Vinabox tested all four current UK kits?
No. This comparison uses manufacturer specifications and dated UK prices. Jeremy’s documented French Six+ use is a separate experience.
Does the Six+ preserve wine better because it costs more?
The current Three+ and Six+ share the Timeless method. Their price and bundle differences do not establish better preservation in this comparison.
Are discount codes available through these links?
No code or discount is offered here. Check the merchant’s current terms without assuming a promotion.
